Cannot Access Ford technical information system

Hello everyone.
I hae a problem with one of my programs and i'm wondering if anyone has knowledge to how to and if I can fix it. When i bought my ford focus a couple of years ago a soon bought a copy of Ford Technical Information System so that I could access all information with my car to get to know it, back then i had an xp machine. Now though i've upgraded to a vista machine but now when trying to install it, it tells me "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. Check your computers system information to see if you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher".
Bit drawn out but checking on the internet and ford site I can find no referance to this problem or on any way to fix/update the program can you help?.

Well if ford is not supporting the program or the software publisher rather then you are stuck.  Vista is not compatible with all legacy programs unfortunatly.  I would ask a friend that has an earlier version of windows to run the program for you.

How to fix No Bootable Media Error Message

FAT (File Allocation Table) is one of the most widely used file systems used now-a-days with various versions of Windows operating systems and memory cards. Every logical partition contains a FAT that consists of file allocation information and the information of free allocation units that need to be assigned to files. Although the FAT file system is reliable, corruption still occurs due to various reasons. In such situations of FAT corruption, your system becomes unbootable, resulting into inaccessibility of data saved in FAT based hard drive. To access the data after FAT file system damage, an easy way is to restore the data from an updated backup. But, with inaccessibility of data backup or backup falling short to restore the required data, an ideal option left is to use an advanced FAT Data Recoveryapplication that can recover the lost data.

To illustrate the above scenario, consider a practical case the below error message pops up when you attempt to boot your system:

“No Bootable Media”

As the above error message appears at the time of booting the system, you wont be able to access the data saved in the hard drive.

The above error message because the FAT file system has been corrupted. Few main causes for file system damage are improper system shutdown, human errors, and virus attack.

To isolate the above error message and to access the data after the above error message appears, you will need to follow the below steps:

Run CHKDSK utility to repair the FAT file system. If the problem persists, format the hard drive.

While the latter resolution resolves the above error message completely, it also deletes the data saved on your hard drive. In such cases, if the backup is not available, then you can only recover your formatted data by using an advanced third-party FAT Data Recovery software.

A FAT Partition Recovery utility thoroughly scans a FAT based hard drive and recovers almost all data, even after formatting. The data recovery utility can be downloaded from the Internet.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is an efficient FAT Partition Recovery tool that recover lost, deleted, and formatted data from both FAT (FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, VFAT) and NTFS (NTFS, and NTFS5 ) based hard drives. The detailed help manual attached with the tool allows even a new user to perform recovery easily without any technical knowledge. It supports Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, and 2000.

Yes there is an option that you can use to restore deleted files. Its called System Restore. You did not provide any information about your Windows version so the procedure may be a bit different.

From XP onwards the System Restore option is found: Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore. You can also access it through Help and Support by typing System Restore in search bar.

Try restoring your Windows to a date where it worked fine. Try the most recent date before you started experiencing this issue.

You should also check if the Magic Jack is working OK by plugging it another PC.

If System Restores fails, its better to backup your data on D: and reinstall Windows than to keep looking for a solution. This will save you time and frustration.

you cannot get a new registry, this is formed by the o/s as it is installed and contains all the information regarding your installation. if you are getting a corrupted registry message, the system places a copy on your root drive which the system should access on its own, so if you are getting this message, try your recovery disks. Stick em in the optical drive, set that drive as the first boot device and reboot the machine. When it asks if you want to boot from cd/dvd, press any key or answer yes and let the thing load.. Then use the recovery option in the menu that appears..

Hello arnohok, I think the problem was located inside your pc which means you need a technical knowledge. You need to open the cover of your System Unit Case and tighten or firmly connect the cables that matters about your cd or dvd rom.

Computer will not shut down

Update and run your virus control scan

Run a registry cleanup if you have a program for that

Go to toolbar>tools>internet options>general tab and delete all

Go to start>all programs>accessories>system tools >clean disc

If you have a separate spyware program ,scan for spyware

How many programs do you hae running in the background?Look at the lower right corner and the little icons there. Turn off anything unneccessary (leave your virus control and spyware control on)

After you have completed all this, get back to me if your computer still will not shutdown or restart.

Does it have an on and off switch? You may have to use it, but you may lose things, so do all of the above and get back to me?
