How exactly did you "transfer" it to the new computer? Copy it to a storage medium (CD-R/RW, USB Stick, etc) and drag in onto the new computer? (to save your recipees?)

or

Did you take your MCOOK4 software and install in on your new computer and its not working?

(if you did "Drag" it to the new computer there are vital registry entries. (instructions on on when where and what to use for that program) it cant just operate by its root file. IF you do need to recover data off the old pc's recipees there are steps i can go over with you that i just typed out to another person respond and ill send them on :)

How to install a USB flash drive

Just plug your USB flash drive into the USB port of your computer or other USB-equipped device and drag the files you want to take with you into the folder that appears on your screen. Your files are instantly transferred to your USB flash drive. To transfer the items on your USB flash drive onto another computer, simply plug your USB flash drive into the computer that you want the files transferred to, open the folder that appears on your screen, and drag the desired files onto the computer's desktop.

1.) Insert Flash Drive into the USB Port of your computer.

-Where is my USB port? It is usually found in newer model computers in a hidden compartment on the front of the hard drive and in the back of the hard drive on older computers. The port for laptops is found on the side or back of the computer.

2.) Wait for the hardware to automatically install on your computer.

After the hardware is installed, it is ready to use!

3.) In most cases, an Options Window will automatically open. Select "Open folder to view files" Click "OK."

How do I add music from your iPod to a new computer?

The media player will not allow iTunes users to transfer files from one device to the iPod library. ITunes only allows one library to the device. This route is a unidirectional transfer problem for iPod users who want their music to be added to other computers. You can transfer music from your iPod to a new computer, but discovering the hidden folders on the device. They contain information about your iPod music files, which can then be copied to the PC. It takes only minutes to discover the hidden folders and transfer music to start.

1. Locate the USB cable that came with your iPod device. Plug the cable into the groove bottom of your iPod. Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.

2. Turn on the computer. Wait for the machine to boot. Click the "Start" button and then select Control Panel. Double click on the "Portable Media Devices" icon.

3. Double-click your iPod in the list of available units. Click the "Tools" menu and select "Options." Choose the option "Show hidden files and folders" option.

4. Open the folder called "\ iPod_Control \ Music". This folder contains all audio files on your iPod device. The tracks are divided into sub-folders by artist. Then click and drag the entire music folder to your desktop or drag the individual tracks of the sub-folders. Your computer will automatically copy the files to your hard drive.
The screen on my Magellan Maestro is clouding up. Can this screen be changed, or can the existing addresses be transfered to a newer model.

Hello,

Yes, your screen can be replaced and the existing addresses can be transferred to another newer model.

To replace the screen, locate the screws and unscrew them apart, then you will have access to the main board of the GPS, then you try to get the board off, and you will have access to the main screen, be very careful in removing, the you replace it with a new one. After replacing with a new one, you reassemble the GPS back together, reversing the process of dismantling it.

Screens can be purchased from any store that deals in parts of appliances.

Screen clouding up can be caused by a bad lamp on the main panel. So if you can replace that, i will suggest you do, because it will be a lot cheaper and easier to fix.

To transfer the addresses to a newer model, connect your GPS to a laptop, and try to use the suite to copy out all addresses, then on installing the new one, copy the saved addresses to the new one using your computer.

As soon as you connect the GPS to the computer, it will see the GPS and you will be able to open its files to view folder, on doing that you will be able to copy out your addresses and necessary information too.

Take care and good luck.

Can't transfer data files from data libraby to pc

System files can often be hidden from view. But when transferring a file the computer will see these hidden files even if you can't. Most Windows computers have the option to display hidden files. Find out how to do this and then you will see them.

How locate and transfer job registration tool data for new installation

There are 2 methods:

1) On the existing PC, start the Job registration tool, click the "Administrators" button (on the bottom of the dialog), then click the "Backup" button in the dialog that appears. This will save a registry file that you can then transfer to the new PC.

2) Use regedit to browse to the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Canon Electronics Inc.\DR-1210C-JobTool
branch. Save this branch to a file, then transfer it to the new PC.

Cheers!
