Problem for LG RH266 Recorder
LG RH266 DVD Recorder no sound

I just bought a new LG HDD/DVD recorder and I've gone through all the set up steps a number of times but there is no sound. I can revord and play back but again no sound. When I'm on AV1 its fine but once I go through the channels to record something there isn't any sound...can any PLEASE help!!

- im having the same problem, i've got no sound when using the analogue tv tuner, its not the scart lead because i have sound from already recorded programs and from dvds and av2 input.Also, if if it was just the scart when i record a program from the tuner i should get the sound when i play it back but this does not happen.
any help greatly appreciated as i would like to solve this myself rather than return it, as i have more than 40 hours worth of recordings that would have to be transferred to dvd. - danirl

- Hi, I have exactly the same problem. Connected my LG RH266 via the scart lead and have no sound. Have tried various different scarts but still no sound... thought it was me being stupid so glad someone else has had the same problem... any suggestions gratefully received!- GuestSolution #1

Hi .. It sounds like the problem you have is incompatabilty I assume that you haven tried Phono connections instead of scart , as this sometimes cures this problem .. or when purcahsing a scart look for the Miirrored type this means that the inputs and outputs are reversed this also sometimes cures the problem as some scarts put output to output and input to input ect when actually it should be output from tv to input dvd and so on ie wrong scart and there are a few of the cheaper type that have this problem .. if you have no luck using the phono let me know ..
