Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940E Gallery 3.5 Cu. Ft. King Size Front Loading Washer

Open Question

Frigidaire front load model FTF2140FS1, will not drain in the normal cycle, and you must add a drain/spin cycle at the end. Just moved it over 3 feet to the left, was working fine prior. No real change in hose position, and works great in drain/spin setting. Why work on one setting and not the other? Just a few months old, and was fine before the sight position change.

SOURCE: washer will not drain on regular cycle

The problem is certainly related to drain hose and or outlet connection.
Make sure it is not trapped or kinked behind the washer.
Changing the position of the washer could esily have caused the hose to twist and restrict the outflow of water.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks,
r.

My front load washer will not spin on the final spin cycle. Washer spins in wash and rinse cycle spin. Cloths are still soaking wet.

I appreciate your post, Rachel Kovach!

From my understanding your Frigidaire frontload washer is not spinning the final spinning and the clothes are still wet. If you washer is overloaded it will not spin properly to release the water out of the clothes. Also, a small load will cause your washer to not spin properly. You should additionally check the drain hose to make sure it not kinked or twisted that could cause your improper draining. If all that checks properly it could be an issue with your drain pump, motor, and control panel. I would suggest consulting with a technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help avoid unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

Frigidaire washer won't wash

fault may well be motor brushes need replacing. check continuity across the brushes - you should be able to do this with motor in situ

My washer wont spin

Frigidaire front loader model # GLTF2940ES3.

Cycle ended prior to spin segment. Checked error code history to find E47 fault. Troubleshot per manual. Found that the "PTC one-spot check" read ~1582ohms. Although the book indicates that this is sufficient and recommends (rather tells) you to replace the control board we were still skeptical seeing as this is a ONE POINT check on a device that is non-linear. We went with the lesser of two evils. Purchased and replaced a new door lock. Works again! Phew, that could have been costly.

I have to switch the selector to drain/spin then rinse/spin cycle to finish the load. I checked the drain hose for any clogs....everything is clear. Any suggestions? Also,iIs2.gif their any reset buttons for this type of washer?
