Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Won't turn off completely, gets warm, won't charge correctly unless hooked to a computer.

I dropped my phone while it was opened. It will not turn off completely unless one of the pins in the EMU is shorted out. Phone gets warm; battery drains quickly. Battery is good because put in loaner. New battery will drain quickly in it. Only charges correctly when hooked up to computer. Everything else says "unable to charge" when hooked up but does charge. I completely disassembled it. Looks good inside as far as no physical damage. It appears to shorting out somewhere. Problem lies somewhere around the USB? Any clues other than getting a new one? Is their some diagnostic procedures to try? Oh...It doesn't ring as load any more. I CAN flash it, seem edit it, back up the phone book, update the software, and transfer files fine.

IPhone 4S won't turn on

Try holding down your Home Button and your Lock Button at the same time for about 10 seconds or until you see the apple logo. This will restart your phone and should resolve your problem!

There is no prob when phone is being charged, connected to ac adapter of battery level is good ..bt when it falls below certain level,it swithces off unless adapter is connected.

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Is there a way I can charge my iphone when my home button and charger won't work?

Try taking it in to an apple store. Given the age of the phone, there may not be anything they can do to assist. Unfortunately, unless you try your luck with a third-party phone repair company, you will need to find a new phone.
