This issue has nothing to do with whether or not you have access to free music on the internet. I have an extensive music library of my own on an external hard drive, and my Zune account. The product started working for a moment (I was able to get songs to the Playlist), then it froze, and I haven't been able to replicate the process. I have tried switching USBs, even though I know this isn't the problem considering the player comes on when connected to the USB, and I am able to "safely remove hardware" from my computer, not to mention the USB symbol on the screen on the player. I too read the manual, however, the only solution they offer is to either "check the connection between the unit and your PC," or "check to make sure your USB drivers are correctly installed,"....SERIOUSLY??? I would certainly NOT suggest anyone get this product for your child. Spend the extra money and get them something that you know will work, that they will actually be able to ENJOY, and will most likely have better customer care for any problems encountered. This product will only cause frustrations for the child and the parent.

Accidentally deleted 39 songs on mp3 player while adding new music. Went down from 218 songs - 179 songs

Hi, Well if you have deleted the songs you can not recover them in any way. What you can do is to upload new songs through your PC to your MP3 player.

Uploading songs onto the Missil flashMP3 player

Drivers required only for Win98. Other versions on Windows have drivers installed. Plug usb cord into PC and into Missil Player. Open my computer, removable disk which is the Missil player) and file where desired music is. Drag music from storage file to "removable disk in "my computer". Treat it as a hard drive copy to, delete or format. To continue playing where you left off when restarting, hold off/pause button down for 3 seconds before shutting off.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription

Do you have an account with Rhapsody? The preloaded music is part of the Rhapsody subscription service. If you dont have an account, you will receive that message until you delete the preloaded music, or subscribe to the Rhapsody Service. Best of Luck.
