Hi,
I have an NEC Powermate (ES slimline), when I try to start the machine the green power light comes on and the orange (to tell you the hard-disc is doing something) light flashes as does the cd drive light but the computer won't start. Any suggestions?
I have tried unplugging the machine and starting from scratch but it doesn't seem to matter.
It did this before but worked after several attempts - I have now been trying the machine for 4 1/2 hours but to no avail.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated - thank you for your time.
Pam

Thank you for your help but I have since learnt that it was the motherboard/memory problem - I have just ordered a new computer...problem solved!!!!
Thanks again.
