Question about Sony Walkman TCD-D8 Personal Cassette Player
Can't get the cassette to play. With a tape in place none of the controls ( play,ff & rew) move. The AM/FM radio works & I installed new batteies. When I switch from radio to tape nothing happens. Thanks. Len

If this is the WMD6C then it is servo locked and can be fine tuned with the pitch control on the back of the unit just turn the switch to on then adjust to preferred speed.

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are reading this. Thank you for requesting FixYa to help solve your request. You want a retrieve the Sony WM-FX407 Walkman AM/FM Cassette Player User Guide? Type this website address into your URL address box.
When you arrive at the website, you will see an overview of what the web page you are viewing contains, in which it will tell you to click the proper link to download. DO NOT click the big blue "Download" button below the green arrow. This will download a PC fix scan that may bring some malicious software into your computer (I have a Norton Safe Web Lite toolbar application on my computer that lets the user know if a website is safe, known to have some computer threats and needs cautious surfing of it, or unsafe. When clicking that button, the Norton Safe Web Lite button on my toolbar changed to an orange color with an exclamation point on it, meaning it may have some threats on it). As you scroll down further to the bottom of the page, you will see what was explained in the overview. Below it, you will see a security question, but all it wants you to do is type in what you see in the box beside it. After typing that in correctly, click the link below it (this is the link that was mentioned in the overview if you read it correctly. Some menus will come up asking you if you want to save this download or just run it. You choose what you want to do with that. Basically after that, you will get more menus popping up asking for your permission to run the file. You can accept the file, it's safe. An advertising window pops-up asking you if you want to download a Multibar along with this file. Again, you make the decision on that (if you aren't sure if you want to download that or not, just ask yourself "Do I really need this using up more space on my hard drive?"). After this, a window will pop-up asking you if you want to download the file now or not. Click yes. If a message comes up saying it failed to download automatically and you have to do it manually by going to the link its providing in the message, click yes. Your user guide should download after this. I hope all this helps you achieve your goal and thank you for choosing FixYa as your one-stop spot for your requests and problems. Have a good day, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this. Visit our site again the next time you need assistance with an electronic product.
