Try positioning the carrier with the backspace or spacebar then touch the lert or right margin as needed it should set at that position, I don't the right margin is an actual stop just a beep 5 or 6 spaces before the position at which it is set

return the carrier to the left margin, hold the code key down and touch thebutton under the M REL button then backspace to the position you want to set the margin then touch the button below the L MAR button it should now be reset.

Hi,

How to clear history of tabs and margins to start over on the Brother GX-6750

Unfortunately, I don't think you can reset all of the margins and tabs at once. To reset a specific margin, move to that margin and then press ALT and the 6 key simultaneously. (That's the Margin Release.) If you are resetting the left margin, press the backspace (or space) key until you reach the new margin location. Then press Alt + 7 (L Margin) to set the new margin. For the right margin, press space (or backspace) until you reach the new margin location. Now, press Alt + 8 to set the new right margin location.

You can clear all of the tabs by pressing and holding Alt + 0 (tab clear) for over half a second.

The manual for the GX-6750 is available from Brother on the product support site: http://www.brother-usa.com/support/ModelInfo.aspx?R3ModelID=GX6750 . Click on the Manuals & Documents tab. The direct link to the manual (in English) is http://www.brother-usa.com/VirData/Content/en-US%5CTypewriters%5CConsumer%5CUsersManual%5CUM_AX325_GX_6750_EN_5674.PDF / The procedure to set the margins is on page 2. The procedure to set the tabs is on page 5.

I hope this helps.

My Brother GX6750 is the wrong typing letters

Printwheel in wrong. release the printwheel, make sure the pin is aligned with the slot on the hub and snap it back in. The printwheel should spin, then home out to the left margin, then it should be ok. Check to make sure no pedals on the printwheel are bent.

Be sure you have a dry L/O tape (Gen. Ribbon t 355 or equiv.) if you have a sticky L/O tape it will give you all kinds of trouble.
