I purchased the easyshare 5300 a few months ago, when I try to print anything it makes all of the printing sounds but there is hardly any ink on the paper! Most of the time there isn't any ink on the paper at all! I have just replaced the black and colour ink cartridges with no affect whatsoever. please help :( thanks.

I have installed new black and colored cartridges several times, deep cleaned, "calibrated" it according to the onscreen instructions. Nothing. I can get out of it just a very, very faint printout. Trying to print pictures, forget it. They are so faint. I have blown through several cartridges doing the above. Not very smart when purchasing the printer to begin with was supposed to save money.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Maybe it's something Im doing...or not doing.

My one year old printer won't print black anymore. I've replaced the cartridge several times, deep cleaned, calibrated, etc. No possitive results.

Printer is six months old. Print is weak and barely readable. Tried all the above mentioned fixes. I'm going to throw it in the trash and go back to my Lexmark (old faithful).

Printer worked fine for about six months, then abruptly stopped inking paper, even though the printer head continued to move and feed paper as though all was well. Pages turned out blank.

I have the same problem, mainly with the black ink. One thing I have tried that works. Take the ink cartrage out and clean the port underneath with q-tips and alcohol. May takes several times. I am trying to find out it the print head or cradle is replaceable or able to come out and get cleaned. But so far no answers.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Normal 0 Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Clean the gold section of the print cartridge's with a wet paper towel.
Also clean the gold surfaces where the cartridge meets the printer.
Wipe the contacts clean with a dry paper towel once you get no ink back on the wet paper towels. Allow about an hour for the printer to dry.
Reinstall the cartridges and try printing.

Hope This Helps.

My Kodak Easy Share 5300 has new ink, it shows that it has new ink, but when it prints, it looks like it is out of ink.

Run the printer through a "nozzle clean" cycle. If this doesn't clear the problem, if you can see beneath the print head (the part that moves back and forth inside the printer) check to be sure some dust or paper chip may be blocking a portion of the output nozzles.

My KodakEasy Share 5300 will not print in black.

92b8b47.jpgThe Kodak AiO printers 5000 series and ESP series PRINTHEADs has orange protective cap that need to be remove to fit on the printer carriage. For the ink cartridges 7b91cbc.jpgthere is also a orange protective cap.
Issue that its not printing black and deep clean and removing the printhead and reinstalling the printhead (reseating printhead) is already done and still no black when printing. The printhead should be replace. For futher assistance call 1 800 421 6699 Kodak AiO printer support line

Hi,

follow the step by step solution from kodak.

Choose All-in-one printer and then Print quality and follow the further steps. I think it's a problem with your printhead.

Try this one, Turn on the printer, Take out the inks, remove the printhead, put back the printhead make sure it will snap and you hear a click, put the inks back, wait for the printer to initialize, Press the Menu button, look for Calibrate printer, then print calibration page, then scan it after. Load a regular paper. Then try to print a demo page by pressing Photo and Copy at the same for 5 seconds then let it go. If same problem persist call this no for further assistance 1800 421 6699

New ink cartridge for Kodak Easy Share 5300 will not work

The version of firmware you originally had on the printer when you changed the ink cartridge was bad. There is a known issue that when you put in a new ink cartridge when the printer is in the error state "COLOR INK EMPTY. REPLACE COLOR INK CARTRIDGE" the unit writes that value to the new ink cartridge so you will continue to have that error.

So to fix your problem Open the access door and Remove the ink cartridges. Then download and install the new Firmware. Heres the link.

Kodak AiO 5300 Firmware

Then sadly you have to go get another new ink tank and install it.

If you can get through to kodak you should request reimbursement of some sort like a free set of ink tanks.

I hope this helps
