How to correct connection problem for two LaCie Desktop Hard Driv

I sent a fax to your number a few weeks ago and have not heard from you. I have finally located this site to request assistance. It appears that there is no Canadian warranty service site for Lacie products. I was recently given your site as the possible service site for Lacie products.
I have two LaCie Desktop Hard Drives (500 GB) They are both about a year old. One on a MacBook from the start was irregular in its showing the connection icon when attached to the computer. Now it does not show at all. The second, attached to a Mac Desk Top Computer has all of a sudden stopped showing the icon when it is connected. We would like to get these problems corrected or obtain new hard drives from you.

Here is the support website for the LACIE products.  As far as I knowthis site simply answers questions. Sounds like the hard drives are bad to me.

" no boot file name received ", Why did my desktop say this?

First test is put new harddrive in and when it goes to boot press Delete,
for entry to Setup, make sure new hard drive is found in equipment.
System equipment, if so then Put Operating disk in CD drive and check
check boot list , Put CD drive first then save and let boot up. It will automatically load the operating system back in the new hard drive.

As far as your saved material in old hard drive. You can check hard drive on second hard drive cable or with a USB adapter connection to
see if able to boot hard drive up and view files. If it works then you can
drag material from one window the desktop (To drag material just put mouse on file and left click-hold down button and move to desktop it will
automatically copy file to desktop.)

You need to check the cable to see if it is properly connected to the monitor and the computer, try connect another monitor to the computer another option is you should replace the video card.

After start button is pushed several low buzzes is heard

Better check that power supply & where it plugs in at out. Also, make sure all the connections are plugged in tight inside. Never assume that a replaced part is good & if you went after-market for the power supply, don't go super cheap. Buy a good one with a good warranty & the same if not more juice than the original.

Sound issues

The sounds(beeps) that you hear are coming from something else inside the computer, and not your main sound card. If your sound doesnt work, even with the correct drivers, then your sound card may be broken.

Try it out with another computer and see if it's working or not, if not try with a spare usb cable because maybe that's the case or try it out with a different kind of cable if possible like esata or firewire if possible, if still nothing, than bring it back to the shop in warranty, and maybe consider to try to get a different drive wich is made by the manufacturer who did the HDD inside it.
You can find Seagate, Western Digital and Maxtor (Maxtor is owned by Seagate) for soure.
If it turns out that it's an OSX problem than another expert is more than wellcome to sort it out.
