Question about LG RH188
I have an Lg rh 188 wich I am otherwise pleased with, but suddenly it started timeshifting on its own. When I start up It does the usual hard-disc check, and in a couple of secends it starts buffering and then the timeshift kicks in. It also stops when I watch anyting from the hard drive and wants to start timeshift again. If I watch a film on dvd-record the red stop-sign shows every five seconds indicating that the player wants to start a process (probably timeshift?) Whats wrong? Is this problem known to anyone else? Greatful for any help. There is one more thing that could possibly have to do with this problem. The buttons on the player stopped working a few months ago. Everyone except the power button. The remote still works. Could this have do with each other or what? Help please?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

When in timeshift, press record on the remote (every time you push "record" 30 minutes are added) and make sure the program you are recording is not macro protected. If your program has already finished rewind to the beginning of the program and push record the correct number of times to cover your program and then press stop on the remote. It should then be at the bottom of your hard drive list.

SOURCE: dvd/vcr recorder stops recording
DVD-RAM itself, and DVD-R formatted in "VR" mode are SUPPOSED to allow for recording "ONE TIME" per DRMA. The broadcasters are probably sending the wrong copy protection signal if the -RAM & -R/VRmode are stopping.
At least, that is my understanding.

hi!we have read your problem.please dont worry, every problem hasa solution.all you have to do is buy a dvd lens cleaner and clean the4 dvd lens since dust particles on lens will delay the processes.but make sure you are not using detergents or plain water to clean it and never touch the lens with bare hands hope your problem is tackled.have a nice day.
