A 2.2 Kw inverter is no responding properly to a 4-20ma signal

The 4-20ma signal is generated by a current transformer on one of the phases of a 25Kw mill motor. The aim is to maintain a steady milling load of 45-50 amps on the mill motor.The 2.2 Kw inverter is running a rotory valve to feed the mill. As the mill amps goes up the rotory valve motor should slow down and speed up when the mill motor amps go down. This system has been working well for about three years but in the last four months it is performing very erratically. The parameters are set as :- F201 = 60%
F202 = 15.5?
F203 = 100?
F 204 = 8.7 hz
To try and keep the system working the opperator changes parameter F 204 from between 6.5 and 10

Hi! Did you checked out the frequency control. Is it set to default settings? If frequency is not the issue then the problem is with PI (proportional-integral) controller using which the variable speed is acheived.

Thanks

The problem can be due to

  • The motor has an improper voltage rating .

  • The motor terminal voltage is too low .

  • The reduction gear ratio is not properly set .

  • Adjust the base frequency

What causes a red light on an TB Wood Etrac XFC 1001 inverter and the motor will not start Is there an internal fuse Do I need 3 phase for the input

Is that red light flashing or continous lighting? You do not need 3 phase input for that model. Do you have the input wiring diagram? If the red light is flashing maybe the emergency stop input is active. If the red light is on continously then it maybe in stop mode or torque limit, ask electrician to check the wiring.
