Well i had my RCA Jet s2002 mp3 player plugged in. I had opened my mp3 player as a folder to delete the song files off, however i deleted everything. I think there is a driver or some info that wasnt supposed to be removed in order to maintain some sort of functionality. Now i plug mp3 into laptop via USB and i get a found new hardware MTP Device bubble popping up every 5 seconds or so. And my device still doesnt show up at all.

My problem is that the device was never able to install in the first place with the disk included. It came with RCA GEM LINE EZ INSTALLER but nothing has worked to get the hardware recognized by my computer.

SOURCE: HOW CAN I DELETE SONGS OFF MY MP3

The only way is to connect it to your pc and either go into my computers and your mp3 folder to delete it that way.  The other way is when the music software comes up, you can delete the music from the mp3 player platform:()

I was having the same problem as the rest after hooking my RCA S2001 MP3 player up to my new computer that is running Windows Vista Home. I did the following to fix my MP3 player on my old computer which is XP Home.
I fixed my player by loading the latest firmware version (1.5 at this time and can be found at http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/product.aspx?product=124&post=6 ). After you load this application to your computer you access the update device application from the start menu/programs/RCA digital Audio Player/Jet/Update device. One thing that I had to do that had not been mentioned yet in this forum was selecting "Format data area"

Doing this wipes your device completely clean but it allows for you to keep using the device. The update device program will give you additional information after the update and format.
This should fix your device if not contact RCA through the same website above to ask additional questions.

How to delete and download music on MP3

Many times, it works just like the PC, Highlight & then delete.

Most players that hook-up via USB cable look like a drive on the PC, the song is a file, click & delete, just like words on a page.
