Trouble with wireless network

I just bought an Acer laptop AOA 150-1447 N 270, everytime I close the top or the pc is in sleep mode and I open it back I lose the wireless connection and can't connect unless I reboot the laptop.
How can I fix this problem? the operating system is a windows xp home edition.

Thanks
RA

If I understand you correct , you are saying that if you put the computer in the sleep mode you lose connection on the wireless. Has it not always done that?  Why , if it is in power saving (componient shutdown) mode would it not shut down the wireless internet connection? My wired network does the same only it reloads itself
    after a period of time.

Next time you connect to a network, check off the box that asks you if you always want to connect this network (or it says something like that). Let me know if this helps.

I cant enter sleep mode on my acer aspire one zg5. How do i fix?

Your settings in power mode have changed. Open up display and go to the screen saver tab (win 7) you will see the power savings option at the bottom. Go into that and change what the buttons do. You will have 3 situations to change. What happens when i close the lid, power button and sleep mode. Chances are you gave everything set to do nothing

Wireless disconnect in sleep mode?

I think that is normal to conserve energy. There are times when it will take the network connections down to conserve energy.

If it is a problem you can always increase the time on the sleep mode or set it to NEVER.

Check the propeties on the device and set to max performance and NOT to sleep mode at all. If still trouble buy a good Intel card on

do you leave the laptop open or close when you are no using it?
if you leave it open, there is a switch at the top of the F keys, close to the LCD panel. press that button will turn on the the machine. if not, press the enter key twice and wait 10 sec. it should come up.

Wireless network

Step1.Go to Start Settings Control Panel and double click on the System icon.Click on the Hardware Tab and select Device Manager.

Step 2.From the Device Manager window, Scroll down click on Network adapters, select and right click on the wireless adapter and select properties.

Step 3.From the adapter properties window select the Advanced Tab and under the “Property:” window scroll and select “Power Management.” From the Power Management tab uncheck the box that indicates, “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.” Then Click Ok

(Note: It is important to note these changes will not take effect until the wireless radio is reset by turning it off and then on again.)
