MP3 is dead. Is there some trick to reboot?

Press and hold the power button (menu) in your e140 for about 30+ seconds. Now try powering on your Sansa.
If it doesn't work, press and hold select (center button) alongside pressing and holding power button. Probably this should work for you.

There might be a problem with your USB cable, such as a broken wire, and not the MP3 player itself.

Let's try this: take the battery out of the player and wait for a full 5 minutes. While the battery is out, please hold the power-on button for 10 seconds. After that, connect it to your computer (without the battery). Does it work when it's connected to the computer? Regardless of that result, disconnect it from the computer, then put a brand new alkaline battery back in, and see if it will turn on.
