The filter has a dripping leak that seems to be coming from the bottom of the filter. The filter is located below the level of the pool so it continues leaking even when the pump is not running. This is a brand new filter just recently installed so I don't see why it should leak, especially from the bottom.
Can you locate the leak at the base or is it coming from under the filter? Could the leak be from the intake or outtake piping? If the leak is coming from the filter canister itself and not from the drain plugm plumbing, or where the top and bottom join together it will be necessary to replace the filter. Air getting into the filter will not create a leak but will allow a leak to leak quicker.
Are you sure it is leaking from a spot "Originating" at the bottom? Many times this is what is seen, but the water is actually traveling down the side.
If at the bottom, you either have a cracked tank, or the drain cap is loose, missing the cap gasket or it is on "Cross Threaded"?
But... most likely from experience, it leaking at the valve clamp.
SOURCE: How to change sand in Hayward S-200 Sand filter
hayward S-180 filter takes 150lbs, S-210 takes 200lbs not familur with the S-200. To change sand you have to remove the vari flow valve on top. You can either unplumb the filter and roll it over on its side and try washing the sand out or try scooping it out upright. Whatever you do dont damage the laterals on the bottom of the filter. When refilling with sand you want to make sure all the laterals are undamaged and in the down position. I always fill the filter half full of water to keep the sand from damaging the laterals while re-filling the filter with sand. Make sure you use pool filter sand and not play sand!

normally this is not a crack in the housing. It is usually a shaft seal.

The problem is a malfunctioning check valve. It'll be somewhere in the line on the pump output side. If it's not a separate fitting it'll be in the line, probably in an elbow.
Need further info, let me know...

take the top off the valve and lubricate the gasket if it is not damaged.if ti is you will have to replace it.

There is only one thing that can cause sand to come back into the pool from a sand filter. The internal assembly, called the lateral assembly, is either cracked or broken. This is an easy fix and should cost you around $70 to replace the whole thing. You need to unscrew the bottom drain cap on the filter to remove the water in the tank. Then, remove the multiport valve on top of the filter. Take a shop vac and remove the sand in the filter. If the sand hasn't been replaced in the last 3-5 years, this would be a great time to do that since you already have the sand out anyway. Then, remove the lateral assembly and inspect the entire thing. After you replace the lateral assembly, you'll need to fill the sand filter tank 1/2 full of water before adding fresh sand. This is done to cushion the laterals from the weight of the sand. Cover the hole in the top of the lateral assembly pipe with a cup or duct tape to prevent any sand from getting inside the pipe (the sand will come out into the pool if it gets into the pipe). Fill the tank 3/4 full of pool filter sand. Make sure it is genuine silica pool filter sand from a pool company. A lot of big box and home improvement stores sell play sand as filter sand. This will cause you more problems!
