I actually found a customer service number and was fortunate enough to speak to a human(can you believe it). They said to Press and hold the VOL+ button along with the menu button. This did a hard reset and corrected the problem. Thank you!

Try the following:

1. Make sure the Sansa is turned on.

2. Engage the hold switch, located on the left-hand side of the player.

3. Press and hold the LEFT BUTTON ( << )

4. Connect to the computer while pressing and holding the LEFT BUTTON ( << )

5. The Sansa should appear as a "Removable Disk" on your computer (My Computer)

My sansa mp3 won't turn on how do I fix it

How do you know it is charged? If you can connect and see it on a PC, backup your music, before doing anything.

Just says connected until the battery dies.

first off if you can turn the player off
try this...

1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)

if that doesnt fix your problem try this...

if you can actually connect your sansa to the comp. and see it in explorer try this....

1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable
2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore
3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties
4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will probably work again

I hope my post was helpful let me know!!!!

Sansa Fuze wont work with home stereo

The Sansa doesn't play music through the USB port. You can connect the Sansa to your stereo via the Sansa's headphone jack.

Sansa won't turn on, battery not dead

I have the same problem, the mp3 player won't turn on at all except when connected computer. It's not a battery issue as I've tried a few batteries in it.

I tried holding down the power button for 15 seconds (which someone suggested would reboot it) but that didn't change anything.

Computer won't read mp3 player

First, reset.
If that fails, then try to download the Sansa Connect Recovery Tool from:
http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1532
If that still fails, upgrade the firmware from the Sansa website
If that fails, uninstall the software from the installation CD and reinstall it from the Sansa website.

Left connected when shutdown

This happens to me every other time I connect to charge the battery. I remove the screws on the back and remove and reinstall the battery then back to normal but still without a full charge.
