Computer starts but no diplay shuts down immediate,

You wanta' post that statement again? Maybe use punctuation, and form a clear, concise thought. Plus post the model number of that eMachines. (Back of computer next to Windows product key, or up on the side of the computer tower) Computer shuts down immediately? Right off the bat I'll bet the computer is dirty inside. Processor fan, and Heatsink fins. Processor overheats; it turns off. (BIOS turns it off) Post back in a Comment.

Is the power LED on the monitor ON, if not check the power cable connection at the monitor and at the mains.
Check the video cable connection at the PC.
Try a different working monitor on your PC and see if the monitor works on a different PC (the monitor maybe faulty).

The odometer & clock display stays on in my 2001 Outback when the car is shut off. What could be the problem?

You may have a defective door switch and this keeps the displays on. Try opening the passenger front door and see if it goes out if it does the door switch must be replaced.

Acer m6141 starts up but screen stays black No error messages (beeps). Tried starting up without graphics card , 1 memoryblock instead of two etc.

If you are sure the display is good, the video card may be defective and needs to be replaced.
Look to see what type you need, AVG, PCI Express or PCI.
I hope this helped.
Good luck and have a good day.

Power light is blinking, but no diplay

Hi.

If the Power Light blinks, its means that the monitor is in ' STAND BY Mode '.
Monitor stays in Stand-by mode only if it does not getting any signals from computer.
please check the cable which connects the monitor and computer are connected properly.
Also check that the cable is connected to the proper slot of the computer.

If you hear some continuous beeps when you start the computer, then the problem may with the display card ( Video Adapter or Graphics card ) on the PC.

thank you

Help me change my grafics card frequency from 100htz - 60htz

It sounds like the frequency referred to is the monitor's frequency. If it's an LCD monitor, the frequency is usually 60Hz. If you are using a VGA cable, it's guessing the frequency and has guessed wrong.
The other possibility is that the Railroad Tycoon game sets the screen resolution and frequency to something your monitor is not capable of displaying. It sees a nice graphics card and shoots the settings to the top of the range. If you can change the settings before playing the game, you might get it to work.

128MB PNY Quadro FX1000 AGP8X

Hi, I have had similar problems myself, the tests I carried out on the craphics card showed faulty capacitors. Regretable but that meant a new card. The system will not run without graphics and that is why you get shutdown, if this is a new card return it to place of purchase and get a replacement. Goodluck, regards mistyman
