It is a 50:1 gas:oil mix. I'd also strongly recommend adding a fuel stabilizer to the mix, as a tiller has a tendency to sit for long periods without being used. Good luck!

Too much oil in the fuel mix. Look for a 2 cycle oil called Opti-2. Comes in 1 or 2 1/2 gallon mix pouches w/fuel stabilizer. One mix for all 2 cycle. It's the best and no measuring, foolproof.

If you can get to the dry bushings, DuraLube pump lube will fix your problem. It is available at most automotive stores and departments for $8 -10. I've used it in areas where I had to lube every 10-20 working hours. Now i can go 200-300 working hours. You can also add 2 or 3 ounces to your crankcase oil.

SOURCE: mY mantis tiller will start and run for just a few

you probably have gum or varnish built up inside the carb. take it apart and clean all the ports and jets with fresh gas. drain the float bowl and fill it with fresh gas as well. if you are not familiar with carbs, best not take it apart yourself, or pay VERY close attention to how it came apart.

Proper fuel mixture for Dynamac DY 51?

you would be safe to run a standard 25:1 mix 200ml of 2-stoke oil to 5 liters of petrol/fuel/gas.....(5000ml divided by 200ml= 25) most 2 stoke oil is able to run at 50: 1 mix ...instuctions on what oil ratio should be used are always displayed on the oil bottle you buy for aircooled 2 stroke engines....

How much gas to mix the oil in?

First check that your Mantis needs an oil/gas mixture, most of the newer Mantis tillers have four-stroke motors meaning they have oil in the crankcase and use straight gas. If your Mantis needs oil mixed in the gas use a 50:1 ratio. That's usually 2.6 ounces of two-cycle oil (it's sold in bottles that size) to one gallon of gas but read the oil bottle to get the proper mix ratio.

Motor overheats and seizes.

what is your proper mixture?50:1?
Be sure you are mixing 2cycle oil to 1 gallon of fuel or whatever it takes to make this ratio
My reccomendations are run 40;1 3.2 OZ OF OIL TO ONE GALLON OF GAS
also you may have a lean out condition and the H on the carb, may need to be ritchened a little

Motor should not be screaming you should have a slight blubber when throttle is held wide open
