Re: all in one printer
You know what, this personally happened to me with a dell 922. Fro the life of me, I have no idea what happened. But, here's what I did to fix it. Knowing that lexmark and dells have problems with remembering things, I flushed out ALL the software, used a program called crap cleaner to delete any temporary files, and unplugged the printer itself for 30 mins. I also Changed the usb cord as well, thinking it might be the cord. Whatever the problem, it seemed to fix it, and I have yet to receive that error again.

May I assume you're asking about a Nikon camera and not about a printer or copier?
This indicates that the camera is not communicating with the lens. This happens with older lenses that do not have the electronics to communicate with the camera. It can also indicate that the lens is not making proper contact with the camera. In this case, remove the lens, clean the contacts (both on the back of the lens and in the mount on the body, and reattach the lens. Gently wiggle the lens to make sure it's making proper contact.
Since you didn't name the "newer" lens I can't tell you which of the two cases apply.
There is a third possibility: that the lens is faulty. If you can get access to another camera body, try the lens on it.
I have tried to set up this wireless printer on my laptop (windows vista basic). I run through installation and get message - installation complete and the green indicator light is fully on. When I try and print I get message Printer cannot communicate with computer - please turn on 'Enable Biodirectional Communication' in printer properties. I go to control panel/printer/propertie/ports/ and I see Enable Biodirectional communication - the box is grayed out and I cannot enable it. Any suggestions?
What you could try do is to remove both cartridges, close cartridges cover
Unplug printer for awhile, at least 30 minutes
Plug in printer and wait until printer stop
Reinstall both cartridges
This is to let the printer reset and do a new installation of ink cartridges
Go to this link and type "cannot communicate with scanner" in the search box. Click Search. Then select the "ERROR: Cannot communicate with scanner" link. You will see several things to try to correct your problem. Usually, this error shows up if there is another USB device connected which prevents the computer from "seeing" the scanner, even though it can print without problem. So do try to disconnect any other USB device (except mouse or keyboard) and reboot the system.
