How to connect laptop to network

Right-click on "My computer", go to Properties, then if the laptop runs Windows7, the screen will show you the info about the Windows version, then under that - System, then below - Settings for Computer Name, Domain and Work Group, with the blue link on the right "Change Settings". Click on that.

(If it runs XP, then instead of this window you'll see a pop-up window with tabs. Choose "Computer name" then.)

A pop-up window with 5 tabs will appear. You need the tab "Computer Name" where you'll see 2 buttons - "Network ID" and "Change...".

The simplest is to go to "Change". Then a new pop-up window will show. There you'll need to give your laptop a name (the name that will show in the network), and then type the name of the domain you want to be in. Then OK it and wait for a little while.

Then you'll need to restart the laptop, and after that it will be in the chosen domain.

Good luck!

I just purchase a dual core 64 bit window 7 computer but for some unknown reason its not installing the sofware properly, I had changes the new computer 2 times thinking that the problem was the computer ...

You have to get 64-bit Windows 7 drivers for your printer and other accessories, and many programs have a 64-bit version also. Did you download the 64-bit Windows 7 version from Kodak? That's the one you need. has good information for you and many drivers listed.

Good luck,

Have any toolbars or new sofware been added recently? If so and you are using Win XP you may want to try a system restore to a previous point before the changes were made or uninstall the toolbars completely. Also disabled all Pop-Up blockers to see if that has any effect.clean up ur registry using reginout

My cd rom does not read any cd,when i look for its properties than it says that your device is working properly, why is it so,kindly help me

Verify that the cds you try to get it read are good and possibly check them in another cd rom.
Try cleaning it with a CD-ROM lens cleaner (can be purchased at a local computer store).
Remove it by pressing a lock below the laptop. Follow the instructions for removal in the manual of your laptop. If you cannot do this then take it to a repair shop. The person will assist you in removing it and can fix it.
If the lens is damaged or there is other heavy damage then consider buying a new one.

Cannot installed nvidia software.

You can only install the x64 version of Vista if you have a 64-bit processor. Most hardware does not currently have 64-bit drivers. Vista x64 does not support 16-bit software. Very little x64 software currently exists.

Sansa MP3 shut down

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

If this fails, it's dead.
