when i go to my libary then click videos real player stops responding and closes down i hav tryed uninstalling but keeping the files and installing it again and still get the same problem... any ideas

What I would do is download VLC player and use it to play the media with.
I have not had any issues with it. It seems to be able to play any video format.

Hi
Do the following steps in order to solve this issues. All you need is to restart the system in safe mode by the hitting F8 key as soon as you press the power button.
Start tapping the F8 key and you can see advance option screen. Choose safe mode and hit enter.
Once you enter safe mode
Right click on c:\ and go to properties and then go to tools -> error checking -> check both the dialogue box and then click ok. You get an option which says do you wann schedule the checkdisk the next time the system starts -> click ok
Restart the computer and allow the checkdisk to execute in 5 stages your system restarts on its own which is normal. Your all application problems are solved.
