Posibley Broken LCD?

Two months ago I bought my Camera. Up until 3 days ago everything worked fine. When my camera was in my back pocket I sat down too hard on a chair. A few minutes later when I turned my camera on, the LCD looked as if it has been broken. I love my camera and I am getting ready to go on vacation. If there is any quick solution to this problem I would like to know it. Please Help!

my daughters friend came over church last Sunday, I have 5 children, needless to say that when she took her camera out of her purse she thought one of my children did it. I felt bad because I could not prove that they didn't. I just gave her my cannon camera and she gave me hers. she feels bad about it and did not want to take my camera. She is a good girl so I told her I wanted her to take it. I called to see how much it cost to get fixed but I could not find a place to work on a polaroid i733. one lady gave me the number to customer service @ polaroid 1-877-388-3779 they told me that they would send me a brand new camera for 79.99 tax and shipping included. I think that is pretty good but right now I do not have that much. Any thoughts?

Use the viewfinder to take pictures on vacation, then have your camera looked at in a camera shop or repair shop to assess the damage. Might be cheaper to just get a new camera sometimes with labour costs and parts costs these days, but doesn't hurt to get it looked at for free!

Cannon G7 need help

Had the same problem a few months ago. There was a high pitchedwhisltle and I think the screen said "lens fault.turn off camera" or something similar.Bought a G9 to replace as the 7 was out of guarantee but sent the 9 back to the e-bay reseller as it was obviously secondhand with grit around the lens ring and the viewfinder.Ebay never again!.So 3 months ago ago I tried the G7 again with a fresh charged battery before I consigned the camera to the loft.I noticed that each time i switched on the whistle and message was there but the lens extended slightly further each timeso I kept rebooting until the lens was fully extended.Turned the camera off and on again and everything was back to normal. It seems that this may be Canons protocol when a camera goes back. Its been absolutely fine until today. It wont boot up at all.I have tried 2 fresh charged batteries and its dead.Any ideas anyone?

Sony DSC-S650 ( 7.2 MP and 3x zoom) - Not working

I have the same camera and have had the same problem. The first time I had to change batteries I could not find lithium batteries and ended up trying alkaline batteries. I was only able to take 1 or 2 pictures before they would die and the camera would shut down. When I switched back to lithium batteries, everything worked fine. I hope this helps.

Camera won't turn ON

First off, everything was not fine until this morning. You had this occur a month ago. Frankly, I would have done exactly as you did a month ago and nothing more. I have seen too many electrical problems permanently solved by turning a device off and then on, or by rebooting. Here is what I would generally recommend: 1. See what the camera manual suggests. 2. Charge the batteries fully before using them. New ones are often not charged up. They could have been in a warehouse for months. 3. The electrical contacts on your camera, the ones that interface with the batteries, may be a little corroded. If you can access them easily, try cleaning them with the eraser on the end of a pencil. Same with the batteries themselves. 4. If exposed to prolonged high humidity, electrical problems may include not only the power supply, but other electrical switches, such as the reset button., which you cannot address on your own. 5. Call Sony.

Pentax Optio 555 LCD screen blank problem

No I don't believe it is your shutter, more than likely it is a LCD Screen problem. I would suggest you take your camera back to the shop where you purchased the camera and have it serviced under warranty. I had a customer with an Optio 550 come in and it looked like every shot was taken through 'venetian blinds' and the problem was with the LCD Screen and the camera was sent back to Pentax and repaired under warranty.
