My panasonic tc-p42x5 flat screen wont turn on. It just cut off and i unplugged everything but it still wont turn on. No flashing red light i dont think because i was unplugging my internet modem when it happened. Is there anything i can do? I just bought the tv im august. I cant afford another one

SOURCE: why wont my tv turn on? a red light just flashes

Right now, your TV is in " Protection Mode". A damaged part has occurred inside on one of the power supply boards. The red flashing light is a trouble code for a tech to trace the trouble circuit path.

If you have electronic experience with circuit boards, you can find a Service Manual for the TV on the internet for less than $20. This Service manual will have the schematics, red light codes, circuit diagram, and part number list you need to fix the board.

Power light red no sound no picture

Red light is standby, it turns green when TV IS turned on. If the red light is flashing then there is a problem and number of flashers are a code to indicate a fault type.

I would suspect bad capacitors on the power supply. They drain when left unplugged from the power source and then when power is restored the weakcapacitors cant recharge and the set wont power up.

TC-32LX700 WON'T TURN ON

My Panasonic does this periodically. I have to unplug it for a moment and then plug it back in. Sometimes it will turn right on, sometimes I have to press the on/off button. I wish I knew the root cause.

Tries tv unplug,replug it back like about an hour later,for the tv to a resetting itself back to the factory setting.The tv might work again,if not the tv power supply board is the problems and the causes.The tv power supply board it is shorted and dead some how.That the board where the tv power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv power supply board for the replacement.
