Question about Marantz ZR6001SP

What does this Error Message mean?

I was wondering if someone knew what the error code "Check POW 05" meant for a Marantz ZR6001SP. Receiver will sometimes come on for 10-15 minutes before shutting down. When I attempt to turn it back on, I get that message. Other times it doesn't come on at all, just displays that message. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: What does this Error Message mean?

Hello AuburnCE, After 4 years of joy my Marantz SR8200 receiver also shows this message from time to time - after 1h of operation or so. Then it is hanging (like a PC ;o). Taking it of from the electricity network for a moment resolves the problem until the next POW 05 hang usually a fiew days later. I brought the receiver to an authorized Marantz maintenance and repair center twice now and they were not able to reproduce the error. They said this has directly or indirectly to do with the power supply unit. They also called marantz. For me it appears that this is not an internal receiver problem IN MY CASE. I think I there might be a relationship to zapping on my Topfield SAT receiver via power supply network as the connection is optical. Or my dimmerunit for the light. Unfortunately I do not have a separate electric circuit for Audio/Video and all other electrical devices. and dimmer units are well known to cause problems in the power supply chain - e.g. like noise in your audio package. Please note: the experts told me: Check POW 05 can have other (receiver internal) causes also. Above is just my suspicion 8as a non-expert) for my case . Regards, Fred

Connection Failed issue when connecting USB to amplifier.

Some of the interface chips used by the flash drive manufacturers are not fully compatible with some hardware. It's a pain but due to slight variations in designs and the large number of manufacturers this sometimes happens.

I have a Technics SA - DX750 Amp Everytime I turn it on I get an error message F70 and then it requests that I turn the power off. This is all it does now, so sound. How do I solve this issue I have...

The F70 error certainly indicates a blown fuse inside.
The real problem is why the fuse is blown: there are only two possible reasons
1. there is a short circuit on the output (lines or speakers)
2. you have a blown output transistor (and that means some work and skills to replace).

To be sure, please change the fuse with a same rated fuse (buy more than one because it can blow again). Disconnect the speakers and turn the amp on. If the fuse blows again, it is sure something wrong with the output transistors. If the fuse remains ok, then please check all the wiring to the speakers.

Hope it helped.

My Marantz sr 4001 receiver has no output. Is

There is no fuses for the speakers. Check setup. If the receiver has 7.1 channel input try to connect a source there so you can check output (amp) section and the speakers.

Protect error on marantz sr4200

Check all your speaker wires carefully. Chances are good that a braid has crossed from + to - and causes the unit to protect itself. This is a very common problem! everyone's done it at some point. Check connections at both the receiver side and the speaker side. If you still have a problem, post a comment and I can help you troubleshoot further. Hope this helps.
