You can remove the side panels and then remove the cover over the power supply. You'll also have to remove the fuser connections.

If you're sure that your power supply is okay and the switch is okay, but the computer won't switch on, the problem is most likely somewhere on the motherboard. What happens when you turn the computer on? Do any lights come on? Do the fans come on? Is there anything displayed on the monitor?

If you have access to another computer, try installing your power supply in that computer to make sure the problem does not lie with the power supply itself.

It is like your oil light coming on. It means the printer has reached its pages count where they recommend changing the maint kit. (usually new fuser / rollers). If print quality good - let it go - it will work for another 10,000 pages or so. If print quality bad (streaks and rough spots) it needs a new fuser. After replacing the kit you reset the count to zero and it start counting again.

Dell power Supply has won't work

Hi, all power supply's have a fuse in them, remove the power supply, open it up and study the printed circut board, you will see either a white ceramic or glass fuse attached to it. Replace this and reasemble it then re-install it into your computer and then test it. If you still have no power then you will have to replace the unit as the costs of repair are far greater than a new one. Goodluck, mistyman
