If you have tried more than one Wii game and none will read, This drive should fix any reading issues you are having with your games, or issues inserting your games or ejecting them (or lack thereof). This is the entire DVD drive assembly mechanism replacement for your Wii including a new laser. If your discs are not ejecting, or you cannot insert a disc -- or you can insert a disc but it will not load, this is what you need to get your Wii going again!
Lens cleaners can actually do more harm than good, if under warranty, send it back, try all different formats of disc, if none work you may need to disassemble unit and clean laser with a cotton tip, alternatively you may need to replace the laser. Good Luck.
You can try to Clean with dvd cleaning kits...if doesn´t work..the only way fix is to disassemble the 360 and force the dvd laser adjusting the micro pot...located under the laser unit..But you will loose warranty and I think that the best way is to send your game console to microsoft...what hurts is that $140,00 you can buy 02 or even 03 xbox drives on ebay. Choose the best way! Good Luck!
Ok remove any disc inside, unplug it completely and try to spray a can of air inside where you put the disc in. Then on top and the bottom of the unit there are vent holes for air, also spray air in there and behind it also. Then try using a brand new game because maybe you need to update you PS3 so it can read new discs. If that doesnt work let me know.
I had the same problem with my ps2. I found a solution that might help you. take a Q-tip and dip it in rubbing alcohol or water just intil damp. gently clean the eye and the rest of the disk tray. then dry it the other end of the Q-tip. when the eye dirty with dust or a hair or a small speck of paper or plastic from a disk will slow the ps2 down when loading. hope this helps!
yes its 100% lens problem.the lense of the ps2 consists of two parts, one is the one that reads the dvd disc and the other one that reads the cd-r only.the dvd reader is already busted that is why it only recognises only some cds which are cd-r's.try replacing the lens and you can play dvd discs again.hope this one helps
