Event error 1033

Hi, I have a Compact Presario laptop and cannot run my Assassins Creed game. When downloading it said my computer met all system requirements, but the game will load through the intro and then an error message pops up saying Assassins Creed has stopped working. Event error id 1033. I am running Windows Vista by the way.

Does this have anything to do with my video card, or is it something else?

It seems like this problem may be related to your video. I found this forum about the same problem and it seems there are several different reasons. You can try to load new drivers for your video card (search your computer brand and model + video drivers) and see if that helps. Other than that you can try one of the solutions offered in the previous link

Why cannot play assassins creed revelations it wont statup

First, check that your computer fulfills the minimum requirements or not bcoz if it doesn't then your game wont start.
Extra suggestions:-
1)Try disabling your Anti-Virus and check if any game file is deleted or repaired by it. If so, then reinstall the game when the software is disabled and never let the software to scan it.
2)Try to run the game without any game booster or vice-versa.
3)After installing the game restart (reboot) your computer.
Thanks. Hope it Helps.

sounds like you went from xp to vista...try installing a second partition with xp or win 7....vista has a known problem of doubling video memory in the system memory....so if your running vista on a laptop, you are straining the system from the get go
vista seems fast, for a little while

It says in the game (cracked version) run time error 53 file not found in assassins creed 2 what to do?

The "cracked game" you had downloaded is probably corrupted or the supposed "cracked game" is not cracked properly.

There is nothing you can do to fix this. You can try another site to download again but there is no assurance the "cracked software" will worked because these are warez or pirated software and might cause harm to your PC.

Hiope it helps.

You can try this: Put the disk in the drive, then go to My Computer and find the drive the dvd is in. It will most likely be something like "CD Drive (E:)" or along those lines. Then go to the Start menu, and click Run. In the case of this example, you would type E:, and click OK, which should run the disk. This is assuming you are running Windows.
