Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

I had an old Razr off a friend and I'm pretty sure my problem is nothing to do with age. It ran out of batteries as it generally does, no biggie so I plugged it in to charge, turned on the mains switch. The outside panel turned blue as usual so I left it overnight. When I came back it was not on as it usually is. So I unplugged it and turned it on. I got the Orange screen and then it turned itself off. I figured it handed charged so I plugged it in and turned it on. Same problem. Then I tried leaving it to charge again. Blue screen and then it turns itself off. I tried all the mains plugs in my house, blowing the charge socket for dust, everything. Does anyone know whats going on? I need my phone back!!

Did you try a new battery yet? What is the reason he did not use it anymore? I would try the easy stuff first before proceding to anything radical.

Razr is fine but then turns off, then when on says "Insert SIM"

It sounds like an issue with the battery. Check to make sure the battery is sitting correctly in the phone and make sure the battery doesn't have any water damage. If both are ok, it sounds like the phone is shorting out so you should take it back to the phone company and show them the problem. They may be able to replace the phone.

Phone will not power on/off, just flashes!!!

Do you have a friend with the same (or similar) RAZR? Try swapping out the batteries and see if the results are the same. Also try this with the SIM card (and without).
