Question about Apple Power Mac G5 Desktop
I just bought brand new DVD+R DL cds and the disk drive spits out the blank CD without any warning at all after about 15 seconds. Every other type of blank DVD or CD that I put into the drive I have no issue with it is just this new type.
Here are the specs:
Mac OSX 10.3.9
G5 1.8 GHZ power PC
I really could use the help, thanks ahead of time for the answers.
The drive in the G5 may not support DL discs. Open the system profiler (From the apple menu, select 'About This Mac' then select 'More Info'). Click on 'Disc Burning' in the left hand column. You will now get the details about the disc drive including which discs are supported.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
