My controller won't turn on. There's something that sounds like it's rattling in it, but it's brand new, out of the package literally 5 minutes ago.

I think the control board is at fault

Sounds like your control switch is going bad. Good thing you have the quick freeze button. You may want to go ahead and replace it. The whole thing will go out soon. This is something you can replace yourself.

This is a common problem, and has actually happened to me once. The most likely problem is that the battery pack itself has been damaged, and isn\'t holding the batteries into the controller properly.

To troubleshoot this, with all of your might, push the battery pack towards the controller when holding it, then try turning it on.

If the problem continues to persist, then something in the controller is probably damaged. The only way to find out is to shake it, to hear if something is rattling around in there, or to open it up. I\'ll link a video so you can learn how to open that thing up.

Sounds like a poor connection in the control or a faulty control module, I would return it as faulty for a new one. They seal those units up pretty good so we can't fiddle with them. Everyone gets a lemon sometimes.

Time to buy a new one.

Sounds like you might of broken the pressure / clutch plate. Are you able to hear the starter turn and engaging the solenoid ?

tcm is located in drivers side front wheelwell. will have to remove wheel and wheel well splash shield. unhook 60 pin connector and three screws holding tcm to vehicle. will have to set pinion factor and quick learn function via factory scan tool solenoid pacxk located below air cleaner on transmission facing front of vehicle
