Enter Key on Acer Travelmate 7730

I am a frequent gamer.
i noticed that my enter key is mapped the same as my numpad enter key.

This causes a lot of games (which use the specific enter key) not to function properly!

is there a way to map or configue this specific key?

Well if you're so smart, maybe you should do it yourself, instead of going to a 'fix it' website.

I am using Acer travelmate 4052 model for past 6 years. I used password for booting system. Today I tried to remove my BIOS password using BIOS setting. System asked me current password. So I entered the...

Try "1" or "/" or "A" or some messy combination of keys because it seems like you probably had a typo during setting the new password. Try "Spacebar" try "]" or "[" etc for a password, if you can figure it out you can reset it to nothing again just be careful. Otherwise research acer travelmate bios password removal. Also that computer is kind of old, so if there's nothing on it of importance, I'd replace it. If you need data try your friendly computer shop.

I can not use the default setting keyboard of acer laptop. like if i press L it shows 3.

I have a sneaking suspicion that your NumLock is turned on.

On laptops that don't have a num-pad on the side of it (like full keyboards), a function key is used to map a numpad ontop of the following keys; 7,8,9,0,u,i,o,p,j,k,l,; and so on.

Note: the numlock key itself may be a part of another key, which you can access by holding the Fn key.

This should let you type as usual.

Good Luck!

deborah ,

usually on notebooks / laptops there is a additional key to enable the numlock or numpad ..

on various models there is an FN key .. locate that key (usually the FN is blue , then locate the NUM ( thats proabably in blue as well , press these both and the numlock is gone )
