Third party toners will usually give this type of error- remove the cartridge and replace with HP OEM Toner Cartridge- if the problem is gone the cartridge is at fault. if the problem is still visible you may need to order a maintenance kit to replace the transfer roller.
If after you have changed the transfer roller the problem remains then the issue lies with the contact of transfer roller to drum surface is uneven. tyhe transfer holder plates have snapped or the HVT PCB has failed which will require an On site visit by a Qualified technician.

SOURCE: Hp 2300dtn Poor quality printing

Well lets start with DISREGARD ALL THE ABOVE BULL in the above brainless clarification request first noted. Here's a little good advice for you from a 14 year veteran printer tech.

Lets start with the cheapest and easiest moving to the more difficult or more expensive. Your problem can be caused by a few differnt things.

Print a configuration page (on the printer menu press check button, scroll to info menu, press check, scroll to print configuration, press check. Once you have the look for the page count on the page.

Try fresh good paper from a sealed ****. If your paper has picked up moisture this will show up as light or uneven print.

Next if the printer is over 100K page count, replace the transfer roller (foam roller inside printer under the toner cartridge). Lets try cleaning it first if your under 100K or to see if it improves at all. Any improvement will verify the transfer roller as bad. Review the photo below as it shows the transfer roller end inside the printer. The screwdriver is showing where the release white clips are (two). Press the tabs and lift the left side. The right will come out of the hole socket on its own but note where the hole on the right is for replacement. Try not handling the roller with your bare hands any more than you must as oil from your hands can cause slight imaging defects if your hands are sweaty or damp.

b1cf285.jpg
Using a clean rag (like t-shirt material) dampened (not soaking) with 99% alcohol (not 70%) lets clean the roller. Gently but firmly scrub the talc and paper dust buil-up from the roller. Once you've removed the build up it should return to a dark grey color. Let the 99% alcohol dry (5 minutes or so)and reinstall.

Try printing again. If the problem is solved your done. If not and it has improved, you will need a new transfer roller. They are available on Ebay much cheaper than from a dealer. The part number to search for is RM1-0343. Here's a link to ebay for one at around $20.00 landed.

If the problem is the same, your problem is more than likely a dirty laser scanner lense. You'll need to remove the covers from the printer to accomplish this. The laser scanner can be located under the top cover. It's the larger black box on the top side of the printer. Once the scanner has been located, remove the top cover. DO NOT TOUCH THE MULTI SIDED SPINNING MIRROR TO THE REAR OF THE SCANNER. You will be cleaning the clear lenses and mirror towards the front. You clean this gently with a CLEAN and DRY Q-tip. Use a few Q-tips rather than re-applying a dirty one. Heck they are cheap!

Re-assemble the printer and try printing again. One of the steps above should resolve your issue. I am enclosing a link to a free service manual for your printer to help you through the disassembly and in the rare case that your issue remains.

Hope this helps you a lot more than the first response you receved. If so rate me with a FIXYA!

Thanks.

SOURCE: Printing with 6 black dots on right side

If the spacing between dots are the same, then you have a dirty or bad roller. If you never had this problem prior to installing the new toner cartridge, then I would suspect you have a bad one. Try a different toner.

SOURCE: Printing quality off? 2550 HP laser jet?

When installing new cartridges, it's always a great idea to perform a cleaning and recalibration of the machine. Below are the steps needed to do just such a task. You may want to print these out or save them somewhere for future reference as well. They are directly from the HP website.
Please rate the tip accordingly and thanks for using Fixya.com.
Cleaning the printer

  1. Verify the printer is turned on and in the Ready state.
  2. Open the HP Color LaserJet 2500 Toolbox. Click Cleaning Page on the Troubleshooting tab, and the click Print (HP Color LaserJet 1500 or 2500) or Cleaning Page (HP Color LaserJet 2550). A page with a pattern prints from the printer.
  3. Remove any paper that may be in tray 1.
  4. Remove the page that printed and load it face down into tray 1.
  5. At the computer, press Clean .
Calibrating the printer There are two methods of calibrating the printer manual: at the printer or from the Toolbox on the computer. From the printer Turn the printer off and then on again. From the HP Color LaserJet 1500 or 2500 Toolbox on the computer
  1. Open the HP Color LaserJet 1500 or 2500 Toolbox in one of the following ways:
    • Double-click the HP Color LaserJet 1500 or 2500 Toolbox icon on the computer desktop.
    • Select Start , Programs , HP Color LaserJet 2500 , and then HP Color LaserJet 1500 or 2500 Toolbox to open the Toolbox from the Windows desktop.
  2. Click Diagnostic Tools on the left side of the screen on the Troubleshooting tab.
  3. Click Color Calibration to perform the calibration procedure.
From the HP Color LaserJet 2550 Toolbox on the computer

White shade while taking print in left side

If you have a laser printer this can indicate that you are running out of toner. Try pulling out the old toner cartridge, shake it back and forth (not too vigorously) to redistribute the toner so that it is available across the entire sheet of paper, and reinstall it. If the faded portion of the print begins to print normally, then your troubleshooting is over and you know that you are nearly out of toner and should purchase a new cartridge.

The black is ghosting and text is fading out completly on right hand side

Hi

For ghost printing, i suggest you clean the fuser roller inside the cartridge compartment by a cotton swab with water and remove all the toner dirt on the roller. For faded print outs, the problem is the toner is near to end, Just replace new toner cartridge. Try also to shake the cartridge to distribute evenly the toner power.

Please let me know if you need more help

My CP1515n colour laser is giving faded colours. The left side of the print is very faded whereas the rest of the print is slightly faded

There are two reasons for faded prints. Firstly, faded print could be due to exhausting toner.
If it you have faded prints even after replacing the toner cartridge or if your current cartridge has enough toner, it is most likely be due to dust/ toner dust accumulated at the laser reflecting mirrors inside the printers,
which partially blocks laser beams and requires cleaning/ servicing by a professional.
Hence, it is recommended that you get the printer checked/ serviced from authorized service center.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

Print quality: dark faded, but continuous

Open top cover and remove toner, shake toner cartridge and try a test print. IF image good then problem is low toner level in cartridge.

HP 1320NW PRINT IS FADED ON THE LEFT SIDE BUT OK ON THE RIGHT,SWITCHED PRINT CARTRIDGES BUT STILL THE SAME

Try taking out the toner cartridge and using a soft cloth to wipe the narrow window that is above where the cartridge sits inside. The window gets toner on it and blocks the laser path writing to the drum.

Vertical line and five spots in every sheet of paper I print

Thats on the drum, time for a new cartridge.  The equial distance of the marks on the right side of the page point to the drum  which I presume is built into the toner cartidge.

Page is printed but fade

The toner cartridge is faulty. It is possible that when you pulled out the strip that the whole thing didn't come out. Return the cartridge (with a couple of printed sheets to demonstrate printing) and the receipt and you should get a replacement.

Faded print on one side of page

I have a SCX-4100 Samsung, replaced the tonger cartridge, it was working fine for a few hundred sheets of printing, but after that, the left side of the page was printed very light, faded.
If I run the "Clean Drum", it will print a litter better, but still faded.
What can I do to correct this problem?
Thank you
