Question about Samsung Digimax A7 Digital Camera
Hi, my camera had a low battery when i turned it on, as it was turning off i opened the battery compartment but too early so it didnt shut down properly. i have loaded new batteries into the camera and turned it on and you get a black screen and the three beeps telling you the battery is low and it switches off. the lens is also stuck open. i have plugged the camera into the computer via the usb cable but with no results and also tried the old batteries, different batteries again, rechargable batteries. i have changed which setting it opened with using the toggle wheel on the top of the camera but still nothing. if anyone knows of a solution i would be very grateful
Hey, I had the EXACT same problem and was just about to send it to samsung. I took the batteries out the night before, came home from school in the evening and decided to give the camera another go and it just turned on. That was it fixed. I think it resets itself or something. It may or may not work but it's worth a try!

Hey Kate20 I've got the exact same problem with the camera, firstly it was the screen I believe because of the excessive heat we'got. It was turning blurry intermittently. But I managed to open the cam & fix the screen myself with little tweaks. Now that the screen is ok, the power problem. As I switch on it gives low battery maybe sometime rarely it let's you see the background & turns off again. What have you done with yours please? mine is a year old only. it's from UK. firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks & Regards, Ian
