Verify that the set is set for the correct input by pressing the source button on the remote to check if the cable is selected as the input. If not use the arrow keys to select the proper one and press OK

I had my ViewSonic VX1935M-3 Lcd Monitor shut off for 2 years, I tried turning it on now and the power button flashes blue but the screen stays black. How do I fix this?

The absolute worst thing you can do with a piece of electronic equipment is to let it set. If as you stated the laptop registered it OK then it could be that it has lost it's memory and needs the drivers updated. The laptop will only tell you that it is connected it does not run a diagnosis on it. If you have the disc for the drivers try running it while hooked to the monitor. Other than that you may have internal problems with the monitor. It could be the inverters. logic controls and numerous other things that just seem to die of neglect I guess you could say. I have found about every kind of problem with TV's and Computers that have been mothballed for a length of time. I would think it is the drivers though. If you do not have the disc go on line to the Mfg. of the monitor and enter the model # etc. and try to find a download for the drivers. Most Mfg. have free downloads of the drivers for their equipment. Hope this gets it going and if I can be of any other assistance please feel free to contact me.

Have had the nx1932w for 4 years. turned on this morning and it only shows a blue screen with message stating no signal. have digital cable and all other tv's in the house work. please advise.. thank you

If the ViewSonic logo first comes on followed with no signal the monitor is okay, check the video cable connection between the monitor and the computer, if okay the video graphic's card may be the problem,or the motherboard, but this is speculation you will need somebody to check the system for exact cause.

Viewsonic vx2835wm monitor, in DVI mode connection, altough getting signal from the PC(Other monitor connected and tested for graphic card problem-No graphics card problem!!) , Prompts "No input-signal"...

You will need to change the resolution of the screen on the computer to 800-600 and the bit to 24bits or 16bits, to do this right click on the windows screen, and click properties, goto settings.
You should see a slider at the bottem left of the screen to adjust the resolution, and a drop down bar on the other side for the bit rate. This should solve the problem, also you could open the scond screen also in the display properties, and drag what you need to see on the screen to that screen, you will know what i mean when you open screen 2 it just expands the desktop. hope this helps.

My cable box is hooked up to the HDMI input on the TV. The signal is going out for a second fairly often. The screen goes blue and says no input.

A weak or interrupted cable signal will cause digital dropout. Have your cable company increase the cable signal level to your box from their main office. They may have to send a technician out to measure the signal level to see if it is a problem.

ViewSonic VX2235wm monitor looses power ...

I've not seen this problem on a ViewSonic but have on a Dell flat screen. The fix was the obvious one: the power connection on the back of the monitor was loose -- have you checked this. Also if the power cord is too tight it could be the problem. Other then this, it sounds like a short inside the monitor.

Hope this helps

DVI connection fault

I had the same problem, you must call Viewsonic to change your screen. The DVI input on the screen is dead.

Can't pick up all the signals

I always tell people to carefuly read their instruction manual and consult the product tech support before determing that there is actualy a fault with their unit.

If sounds like the tuner module or the controler board for the tuner may be failing, or there is a power supply distribution fault to the tuner section and or its controler. This has to be service by the manufacture.

One of the criteria I recommend when people buy an expensive appliance or TV is to make sure that there is local authorized service. I also recommend an extended warrany for expensive items. The warranty is like insurance. You may or may not need to collect!
