Using Calcomp 6 drawing board in corel draw and signwizard 4.1

Hi,

I am using a calcomp drawing board for the first time in corel draw and signwizard. I have checked that the board is working in the control panel and am getting the correct measurements. When using it in corel draw and sw it will draw the shape but the scale is wrong. does anyone have any ideas? The manual has been lost so im stumped!

Many thanks

I don't know about Signwizard but if Corel Draw is the problem, this might help. Double click on the ruler or...Go to tools and open the Options dialogue box. Click Document then click Guidelines then Rulers. The right panel should show a button the says Edit Scale. Click that. Make a note of what's there before you change anything.
You can calibrate the rulers to real-world distance too.
1. Click Tools Options.

2. In the Toolbox list of categories, double-click Toolbox, and click Zoom, hand tool.

3. Click Calibrate rulers.

4. Place a clear plastic ruler under the on-screen horizontal ruler.

5. Click the up or down arrows on the Horizontal box to match one unit of measurement on the on-screen ruler with one unit of measurement on the actual ruler.

6. Place the ruler beside the on-screen vertical ruler.

7. Click the up or down arrows on the Vertical box to match one unit of measurement on the on-screen ruler with one unit of measurement on the actual ruler.

NEED WIN 7 DRIVER FOR GTCO CalComp Drawing Board III

Drivers for GTCO, GTCOCalcomp or Calcomp digitizers for Windows XP, 7 and 8 can be downloaded from this url:http://www.interworldna.com/GTCO/gtco-drivers.php

If you are trying to use your digitizer with AutoCad these drivers will not work and you will need to buy a driver from VTABLET.com (They provide a 30 day free trial/demo) only works with serial RS232 interface. If your digitizer uses USB then you will need an interface kit for your specific digitizer to convert it to RS232. Most new digitizers come with USB, some have serial but require you to buy an interface kit. Contact your Digitizer supplier.

If your digitizer is a GTCO, GTCOCalcomp, Calcomp or Summagraphics brand, try these guys: http://www.interworldna.com
They do not know about any other brands. Wacom contact Wacom, Numonics contact Numonics. If you have Mutoh or Science Accessories or any other brand you are on your own as those manufacturers have all gone out of business as far as I know.

GTCO CalComp Drawing Board III 34480 Graphic Tablet.lectra tablet utilities is not running

First conform that serial port is selected as NONE on digitizer manager while you running the lectra tablet utilities. If you try this already please check your cable connectivity any one of the line may be missing connection. It may work but you can't able to run lectra tablet utilities.

Autocad 2008 et Drawing Board III (is there compatibility?)

If you are using the drivers supplied by GTCO, they won't work with Autocad 2008.
They are not a fully compliant Wintab driver. Check with the Autocad software to be sure of what kind of tablet driver it needs.
There is a site called www.vtablet.com that sells a tablet driver that is fully Wintab compliant.

Calcomp Drawing Board III

If you need documentation, go to GTCOCalcomp.com and they have FREE documentation for your tablet.
It may be a software switch is turned on and is causing this problem. Also check the driver and turn off any mapping.
When you read the manual it will show you how to turn off/on the software switches on the tablet.
These tablets should boot-up in the GTCO binary mode.

GTCO CalComp Drawing Board III 34480

This tablet, when turned on,should only beep once.
It sounds like their may be a hardware problem or corrupt firmware.
Make sure you are using the correct power supply, these use a 12 volt power supply, center negative.

If this fails contact GTCOCalcomp Tech Support.
