SOURCE: I need an instruction manual for HP/Compaq Evo N400c
hello there:
yes the manual can be downloaded the manufactures website ie www.hewittpackard.com just make sure that you find the right manual for your model
SOURCE: i have a compaq evo n400c needs a power on password key
remove the keyboard and the battery and power pack lift the keyboard and you will see a small black plug with red and black wires on it unplug it for about 5 min replace the power lead switch on press f10 restart bios all done
SOURCE: been away cannot remember password for my laptop
If you haven't written it down and your using Windows XP or later you'll have to take it to someone who can get in and delete the password file. This can only be done in DOS or by someone who knows system administration procedures. The other option is if you have the original Operating Systems disk you can boot off the disk and reinstall the system. If your using an earlier system you can boot in DOS and delete the file "Password.log"

yes it did in a kinda way still need a manual to program it
What exactly do you need "to program it"? Does the Laptop work? Program it isn't telling me how I can assist you. Be as specific as you can.
This laptop is old, in computer years, it's going to be very difficult to find a hard copy of a manual. You should be able to find , online, all the info you require to operate the machine. If you need further assistance respond to this post.
Here's another specs sheethttp://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quick...
