Question about HP PSC 1510 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP PSC 1510 All-In-One-Printer not responding

I recently installed a new ink cartridge and did the normal scan with the initial formatting print out the printer generates. But it didn't seem to work and now the printer won't print anything. I get the message that the Printer is not responding. When I press the scan button to rescan the initial formatting printout it doesn't seem to work. Any way to deal with this?

    Yes, the printer is connected directly to my computer, not through a network. I will try the test page.

    1. Is the printer hooked directly to the computer . Try to print a test page which will come up under properties of the printer. r u working through a network (like going through a router that has wireless and hardwire hook ups for more than one computer).

If your HP printer fails to respond to a job, check that all printer cables are connected properly and ensure that the printer is turned "ON."

If everything configured well then go to the computer's control panel from the start menu and click the "printers" icon and be sure that your printer is selected as the default.

If everything checks out in the control panel, right click on the printer icon and select properties.

Click on the details tab and make sure that the correct port is selected.

Double click on the printer icon and cancel all documents and try printing again.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

HP 1510 PSC prints diagnostic page, alignment page fine. Will not print anything else. I have already tried reconfiguring and cleaning the heads. No success

It was a "refilled" cartridge and not a new cartridge. For some reason the refilled cartridge was empty after being filled recently. Not sure why or how. A new replacement cartridge fixed the problem.

Can u use the scanner on a hp pcs 1610 all in one inkjet printer without the color ink cartridge?

Hi, the answer is no you cannot, the printer will only work if both cartridges (black and color) are installed, if you install just one the check print cartridge light will flash.

Turn off alignment feature

After you install new ink cartridges or attach the printer to a different computer it will go through this exercise. Make sure you also do the next step... a scan of what you printed-out; or you'll get that message every time.

HP Print cartridges are unrecognised


I understand your concern, the cause for this problem is you are trying to install the cartidges which belongs to different zone. This is due to regionalization of the cartridges. As you have bought the printer from UK you should get the cartridges from that zone only.

Click here to know which zone UK belongs and which cartridge is compatible with your printer. From the link you can find UK belongs to zone 2 and New zealand belongs to zone 1. So return the uncompatible cartridges and replace it with zone 2 cartridges.

Printer not working

If your printer uses an individual ink cartridge for each color, you must install all cartridges for the printer to operate.

You need CD driver to install to other computer so your operating system
can detect and use your printer.

Hp psc 1510 - only want black ink

Hi Manavoc,

I will explain you the cause for it.

It prints in yellow first and then override with black for better quality. This is the reason your color ink gets empty.
