Bosch washing machine frozen

Hello, machine goes on but active button flashes and nothing happens.  It has been very cold here in the UK and I think that the pipes behide the machine may have frozen or still have ice in them.  How can ~I defrost without damaging the motor or pipes. Thank you

Try heating them with a hair dryer or wrapping cloths round them that have been soaked in hot water, this should do the job.
Plz rate my solution
Thanks.

Why do my machine flashes red lights when pluged in AC and nothing else works ?

Replace doorlock and mainboard.
If all five spin cycle buttons flash, its a fatal error.
It depens on which wash button that ligths up.
One of them is doorlock error, the other is main board error

Flashing key

Sounds like have inadvertently activated the child lock, select any program and press and hold the start button until the key light goes off approx 5-10secs. If this does not work please repost with model number as with some bosch models it is a different button you need to hold. (may be the time delay)

Machine reading F63

F: 63 Functional-safety-error - processor is broken SAFETY ERROR - switch ON/OFF for reset Normal mode

- washing program is aborted - replace control

- door is unlocked, if possible

- operator control actions are blocked

- the current indication is frozen

Basically, it would appear that the main pcb has gone faulty. (This is the "replace control" instruction).
I've no doubt you've tried switching it off and on again. Try unplugging it for 20 mins.

Machine has a flashing key sign and won't start wash cycle - t

You have probably inadvertently activated the child lock. You can start a cycle still, but you will need to hold the start button for approx 5 secs. Check you user guide for deactivation instruction.

How can i turn off key symbol

Hello Lucy and welcome to Fixya.

As far as the "signal" activation or de-activation goes, it should be performed before starting a load of laundry and it is as follow's... 1) Turn the program selector to any program as you would doing laundry. Add your items... 2) When you close the door the "start/pause" light flashes... 3) Press the "menu" button until the signal indicator is displayed and flashes ( a small speaker symbol ) as does the start/pause light. If no buttons are pressed within 10 seconds, the current setting will be saved. 4) Press the "select" button until the desired volume or "off" is reached/displayed. 5) Press the "start/pause" button so the program starts and the setting is saved after the cycle has completed. As for the "key" symbol, your washer has a "child lock" program and the symbol indicates it has been activated.

Here`s how to deactivate it...

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.

3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

Let me know if this was helpful to you or not, if so please take a second and rate it accordingly.

Thank you for visiting "fixya" for your washer solution inquiry.

good luck going forward.

Have bosch classixx6 1200 express which has frozen displays a flashing key and 36 will not budge, desperate Molly

Simply press and hold the Start button for 4 seconds and the childproof lock will turn off - the key symbol will disappear from the display.

If you want to activate the lock then press and hold the Start button until the key symbol appears on the display.

Flashing Active Light and not taking fabric conditioner

1: The flashing wash light usually indicates a problem with the door latch while a flashing rinse/spin light usually indicates a problem with your inlet valve. 2: The cold water inlet has 2 independant outlets. The issue that you are describing indicates that one part of the cold water inlet is not opening to allow water to flow to the proper dispenser port.
