Question about NorStar Meridian M7310 Phone

Lost Admin password

I am trying to program our phones but don't have the password anywhere. The old office manager that was here for years didn't place that info in safe keeping so now I'm stuck! Is there anyway to find this out or reset it? I have a slew of problems to fix on our phones.

    I have Norstar M7310 phones and don't have
    the manuals or password from the last office manager. A few of the
    phones ring internally but not with incoming calls. I have tried to
    adjust the volume different ways I found online to no avail. I also
    need to activate the caller ID feature.

    I was hoping that was not the ase but it seems like I am going to be stuck doing it. How can I locate the instructions to do that?

    Ya...I don't get anything you said about the CICS or trunks. I guess we will just have to deal.

    Everything you are trying to do is in the manual...to the PHONE SYSTEM. An M-7310 is a phone.



    CID requires a CID trunk in a CICS system or an add in unit in a non-CICS. Ringing can be programmed from a -10 or greater phone from the installer or admin program.

    It takes a lot of work to change the installer password on a Nortel. Did you apply the one listed in the installation manual?

You may try this password to get in, if the software level is right...

-> FEATURE **CONFIG (266344)
-> Password SCPLUS (727587)

This is another system password, that may help you... it is one level down from the main configuration password, but none the less it will givce you everything you need to change on the system.

Otherwise, as cnavarro stated, there are ways to crack the password, it is very intrusive, but it can be done.

The administrator or tech needs to do this from Administration programming (FXXXDMIN), see your office admin or call the tech in for admin training.
Password required as well which the vendor/tech can help with.

If you know password and how to do programming then looks under Sets/***/NAME

Do you mean Voice Mail?

Have your office manager or on site admin change it or call your local vendor for admin training or cheat sheet.
You can also get required info from any Norstar Setup and Operation Guide

Our phones are avaya 2410 phones, I moved one user from one office to another, how can I have that users original extension follow to the new office.


You need to go into programming and move the 2 extensions in Manager.
Once moved in Manager, at each phone dial *36 to force the change.

How to remove the old corporate greeting in T7316 Nortel?


Press Feature 983 enter admin password
press AA
press Grtg
press Grtg again
press 1 then ok.
Greeting 1 is usually for day and 2 is usually for night depending on the tech who set it up.

If you have a different phone, try Feature **CONFIG or **266344 and play around with it from there.
