Right cables for connecting devices

i have an HK 340 that has no HDMI input/outputs and all my devices have HDMI.

Desktop PC
7.1 sound card with SPIF
ATI x1950pro video card with two DVI outputs

I am trying to get the best quality picture and sound i can by hooking these all together.


What i have thought of and need confirmation of:

PC connects to TV using DVI to HDMI toggle and a HDMI cable then connects pc directly to TV.
Q- where should the SPIF cable connect to TV or Receiver

DVD blu ray and DVD i want to connect using HDMI but then i bypass receiver and wnat to take advantage of home theater speakers. I can us optical for sound to connect DVDs to receiver and use HDMI, right?
Q- how should i connect the DVD players to utilize the home theater.

Cable digital box - connect to receiver using component video and optical audio i assume, right?
