Question about Audio Cards

Voipcheap: Configure audio device error :(

Ok so I downloaded VoipCheap and there are like 5 steps to successfully install the whole thing. Step 3 is when you have to configure you audio devices. I've already selected the speakers i want to use but whenever I click on PLAYBACK i dont hear a sound. Same thing with my mic. I speak on my MIC but my voice doesnt register.
Ive done thousands of things with my sound setting trying all diff options but it still wont work.

I tried using a headset but nothing happens. Whenever I try to make a call it always Disconects because 'there was a problem with my audio device'

I am using Windows Vista; the speakers and mic that i am using is Realtek High definition audio

I dont really know much about the technical stuff bout computers. I hope you can help me with this one.
Thanks lots. God bless.

I dont know why that when i use voipcheap the sounds like a computer sounds. However, when i use skype to talk with my friend, the sounds is normal~ can i ask why?

Hello,

If the sound quality is cheap, then you may try to uninstall and reinstall the audio driver. Go to start/type device manager on the search box/look for sound, video and game controller/uninstall the high definition driver or the audio drive, do not check the delete box. Once the driver is uninstalled, restart the NB. The audio driver will be reinstalled automatically once laptop is restarted. Then test the sound.

Hope it works.

You have to install the audio driver. That's a common thing that if you install a fresh copy of your operating system, meaning you started from scratch. So eventually, some of your system drivers must be reinstalled.

Audio driver:
First download and install the UAA driver from the following link:
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe

After installing this, download and install the audio driver from the following link:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34200.exe

This will create a swsetup folder in C drive ("C:\swsetup\sp34200")

Installing this driver may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the audio driver installed correctly.

1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.
3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"
4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"
5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.
6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse C:\swsetup\sp34200 folder and select the .inf (wis30b2a) file and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.
