Everything freezes with a red light after I take a...

It has never been like this. Recently every picture I take with/without flash at any setting, once the picture is taken, the LED light next to the viewfinder turns red and I am not able to take any pictures, switch modes, or even turn it off. After about a minute and a half everything starts working again.

Any ideas?

Hi
I had simular prob,,
ended up it was my batt
got new 1 on e-bay camera fine now
