Picture blurred

blurred picture can be adjusted, and sometimes replacing of crt socket will solve the problem.
this is tricky so i've advice you to follow what i've said strictly.
Open the back cover of your set (make sure that you unpluged the unit first).
Look for the flyback transformer (it has a sunction cup connected to the picture tube).
You will see an adjustment knob on it, it mark focus but wait before touching, mark it with your pentel pen, marking the original location of the knob is important because that is the factory align.
After marking get an screw driver w rubber insulator as a handle to avoid an electric shock, this will be used to adjust the focus on the flyback knob.
Turn on the unit and hooked it up by your dvd player.
Play the dvd so that you will see a picture on the screen.
Pause it with a picture with characters.
Now you can see the blurred picture?
Try to adjust the focus on the flyback back and forth minimal turn only.
There's a reaction?Yes- continue to get a perfect picture and youre done.
There's a reaction?No- back the knob on its original position.
Your crt socket is faulty.
try some helped of your technician or people knowledgeable of disoldering and soldering technique.
Pull the board on the crt socket.the socket which attached to the tube is the one you are going to replaced. I've adviced you to observe first and familiarized what are going to dis-assemble because you will do the same when you replaced a new one.
After replacing your crt socket, picture ok?Yes-you're done
After replacing your crt socket, picture ok?no-picture tube is faulty.........

Ok, if you require Fly back Transformer for your Toshiba TV, its available in Part Store.
Static noise and focus issues are related to fly back.

Blurred picture with lot of static

This model has a chronic problem with the crt socket arcing and causing this problem. The only true fix is to replace the crt socket locate on the small bd. that plugs on the back of your picture tube. You can however have some success by locating the focus control on the flyback transformer and slighly adjusting it until the unit stops arcing. If you are not familiar with high voltage safety then please have a qualified service tech perform this repair.

Blurred pic on tv

you can take the back off find your flyback (the big part with a red or pink wire going to the picture tube) and adjust the small pot or potentiometer closest to the top while the set is on in front of a mirror and try adusting the focus control.
if cant get nothing but blur replace the fly or focus assembly if not built in the fly. I would change both.

Sony TV with blurry picture

blurry picture is mainly due to focusing voltage is not proper. solution 1 check & adjust focus control on flyback. 2 check crt base for loose. 3 wire going to focus control on crt base got disconnected due to foreign materials deposit on it. 4 if tv is old possibility of crt getting weak.

Did you adjust the two controls on the new flyback? The top one is almost always the focus control and the bottom is the G2/screen control (brightness) If you adjust the G2 do it until the picture looks normal, too high and you will get retrace lines through the picture.

Tv out of Focus

Well you did start out good, thats cool, now we have to define focus, Is ir blurry around the edges as well as the whole Picture? If it is, it could be the picture tube, A bad solder connection on the tube socket, and yes it could also be the flyback transformer.

Blurry screen GE 25GT511

hi There shouldnt be much in the focus system to go wrong as really there is nly the tube base and the flyback transformer. The usual for a TV is the tube faulty so its beyond repair. You could try the focus control, this will be on the flyback transformer. Back off TV, look for a heavy lead going to the dome of the tube at centre top and with eyes ONLY follow that back to the flyback transformer. On the side of that transformer is 2 screws, one near the top is the focus control. You will need a screwdriver to turn it and it usually has a seal to be broken. That will turn from say 8 o clock to 4 o clock no more, turn it up clockwise, try both ways. if it almost fixes but not quite it would be the tube. good luck
