Question about Brother MFC 9600 All-In-One Laser Printer
I have an albiet old MFC 9600 which has worked well for me for a very long time. When I send a print job to it, it no longer can pull the paper from the paper tray. It then beeps and the screen says check paper. When I check the paper tray, the top sheet has been pucked up but has not stated feeding to the drum. I know the printer still works because when I feed it page by page through the manual feeder, it prints fine. Please advise.
There are rollers that cling on to the paper and move it through
the machine. When the rollers are worn down they do not grip the paper. For a
short fix you can get something rough like sandpaper, brillo pad, etc, and
gently scratch the rollers to give them some traction. This will temporarily
solve your problem until you can get the rollers replaced.
