Question about HP P2360AA Keyboard/Mouse

Keyboard and Mouse does not work in Windows XP

I plugged in a normal USB mouse instead of the Kensington expert mouse I normally use and the mouse driver appeared not to be working. I tried to update the driver and got a message removing old driver. Now neither my mouse or keyboard works in windows. I have two HDDs on the system and one is running Linux which has no problems with the mouse or keyboard. I have tried to use the Windows XP cd to repair the installation but the systems hangs after telling it to boot from cd. Is there any hope for a simple recovery?

Will trackball model 64215 work on Windows 7?

The last operating system that allows a Kensington Expert Mouse 5.0 Model 64215 to work properly is Windows XP. Kensington refuses to update their MouseWorks software in order to make it compatible with Windows Vista or 7. The mouse WILL work, but only with basic functionality, i.e., no programmable buttons, and the pointer moves crazy slow...

With proper drivers and if it was working with other Windows XP/VIsta, it should work as win 7 is backwards compatible.

Kensington mac os x driver doesn't work

Try Step A

Unplugging it and re plugging it back in

Or if you have another mouse do step A then move the curser with the mouse and now the trackball will work

Frustrating Isn't it !

Scorpius K3NT USB Keyboard prevents resume after standby in Win2K

When entering standby, the usb ports go to sleep. Most motherboards allow you to tell the bios that you are using a usb keyboard. That should solve the problem. I keep an old ps2 keyboard plugged in and on the floor as a 'just in case'.

Keyboard and mouse not working when windows starts

Hi there.
While you are in the operating system, unplug both the USB devices, then plug them back in, let windows recognize the new hardware and install it for you, this can take a couple of minutes, once it says hardware is installed and ready to use reboot the PC and see if you can use the keyboard and mouse while in the OS.
please post back with any more problems

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!
