Xbox 360 Not Reading 512MB Microsoft Memory Card

Hi-

I just bought an Xbox 360 Microsoft 512MB Memory card and whenever I go into my game (Halo 3, if that helps) to create a profile it says: ''storage device not found''. I also just bought an intercooler (because my 360 was overheatng) but that works fine. Whats my problem? Faulty merchandise? Or my own stupidity?

Try another one, it is probably a defective model.

make sure it is fully plugged in and go into settings and then memory and make sure it pops up and then select it if not maybe halo needs a hard drive but i dont think but if it doesnt pop up in memory then its probably a faulty memory stick

likely coincidental timing with a hardware failure likely with the cooling of the unit. if you suspect halo 3 downloaded something you can delete data from the hard drive in dahboard/my xbox/system settings/memory clear out halo 3 data or perhaps wipe/format the whole drive. more than likely the unit is overheating, try moving it to a clearer area, try pointing a fan at it (experiment with placement of the unit and any active cooling you apply) and see if the problem clears. try to clean any dust you can from the unit especially in the ventilation areas.

My xbox 360 wont read halo 3 but reads my other games?

Your disk may be damaged. If it has scratches on it that can cause major problems. But the worst problems are caused by fingerprints. Fingerprints prevent the laser from reading the data on the disk. If your disk has fingerprints, run it under the water faucett and, using a soft cloth (the kind you would clean eyeglasses with), wipe from the center to the outside of the disk, not in a circle. If the problem persists, the Halo 3 data on your hard drive may be corrupted. Delete the data and try starting the game then.

I just bought a Max Memory card and the xbox 360 is not reading it

Before christmas, microsoft were threatening to block all non official microsoft memory units from being used on the xbox, I have no idea whether they have carried out this threat, but there seems to be alot of problems with memory units lately, your best to contact customer support and find out whats going on. www.xbox.com/support

Xbox 360 not reading new games and it don't have 3

This can be caused by a dirty laser in the drive. try cleaning the laser with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. If this does not fix the problem you will need to get the laser replaced. If it is still under warranty contact Micorsoft with this site: http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/nxe/LiveIDSignIn.aspx?redirectUrl=http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/nxe/registerdevice.aspx?step=repair

When I put Halo 3 into my console, it says 'Player data unavailable'. I bought a new disc but it says the same thing. What do I do?

Try it without the Hard drive or Memory Unit in.

If your console has an internal MU delete any halo 3 related game saves

Wont play/read any xbox games

1 dirty lens
2 dirty disc
3 programme error

1 i think the xbox cleans its own lens but check the manual if not get a good lens cleaner.

2 clean the disc always clean your discs after and before you use them.

3 take off your hard drive and any memory cards and reset xbox to factory settings
