Hi. To edit your player you go to the main menu and then settings.then
you go on to team management and pick a player by pressing (a). Then
keep the button (c) pressed for 5 seconds and a editing chart will come
up and you can make everything 99.
take the battery cover off the wii controller and press the red button. then open the cover at the front of the wii and press the red button. do this when you are at the wii menu. this registeres the remote
Think this might be due to a corrupt game save, as I tried starting the game from the 'press start' command with the second controller, so I didn't login as my gamertag, and all was well. I'm waiting to see if this is the case though before I go deleting gamesaves...
[i think you're a fann of harry potter!]
THIS IS MY SOLUTION IT MAY OR MAY NOT WORK
please confirm whether you have two or more remotes. If no t,hen buy. You can get remotes from the respective dealer from whom you bought your Wii from. If you already have two remotes then press the home button in your remote and go to Wii remote settings. After going there you will find an option called "reconnect". Reconnect allows you to disconnect and reconnect your remotes. For reconnecting press 1 and 2 simontaneously in your remotes one by one. Then if your remote is in good connection it will show the charge and player number of your remote. If it doesn't show then you must change the battery or the remotes themselves.

Had a very similar problem recently. I bought a new controller and that solved the problem. 2 of my controllers have ended up useless playing fifa, although pointing at the wii menu is now problem. Its a strange one but the new wiimote works perfect
