Do you have DHCP enabled on your wireless access point / router?

If not you'll need to find somewhere to either enable it, or manual set your ip for the PS3

I have wireless internet through cricket.I canot connect the ps3 tothe internet. Ive tried everything I cant come up with a solution.

First of all Cricket doesnt support Ps3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are still adamant on getting your internet connected with Ps3 we main problem to overcome.. >Ensure that you are with the highest plan with Cricket ($60) , so that you can get 7.5 gb!!! >Ensure the connection with the main computer. >Get IP adress of the main computer to 198.168.0.01 >Press Win + R on your key board. >Type in <ncpa.cpl> >Right click on crick wireless!!!!!! >get the network shared... >set the IP addresses of the other computer to sequence...198.168.0.03 and so on...!!! >Enjoy....... >if u are gettin 1xrtt error......then ping the computer. > type in <cmd> in the run dialogue box. >activate your connection....again!!! I would personally suggest you the new Wi-Fi HotSpot modem..!!!!! Crosswave!!!!

PS3 and Internet connection using Ethernet - from a mac

Where did you obtain the IP address?

If you went into System Preferences and saw the PS3 there and copied the assigned IP address, then it should work.

Ps3 connection to the internet

Are you sure that you got the right Ip ? Otherwise I would try to shut down the system and put all cables out and in again. If that doesnt help I am sorry and
Good Luck!

Internet Connection

On the X-Cross Media Bar, (the menu that comes up when you turn on the PS3) under "settings", go to "Network Settings".
then go to "Internet Connection Settings". select "yes".
go to "custom", "Wireless", "Scan".
If your network is not listed, move your PS3 closer to the Wireless Access point.
Select your Network and enter your password (if it needs one).
select "automatic" for everything.
select "Test Connection".
the "Obtain IP Adress" and "Internet Connection" should say "Succeeded".
If not, contact your system or network administrator or a teacher that knows a lot about computers.

Psp internet doesn't work.

Try power cycling (turning everything off for about a minute) and connecting again.

Connect it to your router with an ethernet cable.
Make sure the router is setup correctly to your modem, if you can connect all your devices by ethernet cable to the internet then it's set.
If you are using a wireless connection and if it asks for the WEP or WPA key, make sure that you are entering the correct encryption key. You may want to call your router manufacturer to know the correct key for the wireless connection. FYI, it will say that the wireless network is connected but it will still fail the IP Address.

If you have a wired connection and the IP Address or DNS failed, I suggest you to call your Internet Service Provider to check for the Internet connection and obtain these (static IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, primary DNS server and secondary DNS server). If your Internet is okay, enter the IP settings manually on the console (System > Network Settings > Edit Settings > IP settings).

That should work.
